Ubuntu Studio is a special version of Ubuntu. The aim of the project is the rapid deployment of ready-to-use photo, video, audio Studio with minimal effort and maximum comfort. Ubuntu Studio comes with great software, especially well-suited for solving problems of processing and creating audio, video, images. Being an official Ubuntu derivative, this operating system has access to all official updates and repository and from which you can install the software on virtually any taste, to solve any problem, in addition to those for which it is intended. Ubuntu Studio can also be used for entertainment, programming, education, etc.
Standard installation includes a set of the most commonly used multimedia applications, with tools for audio editing, creating graphics, editing and retouching of photos. Among the set of applications in Ubuntu Studio there are some that really stand out, such as Ardour for audio editing, Blender to create space and 3D animation, OpenShot is a video editor or GIMP to retouch pictures.

Casio's CZ line of Phase Distortion synthesizers are incredibly unique devices that used digital synthesis without a filter as opposed to traditional analog subtractive synthesis with a filter.

The CZ line used phase distortion to somewhat simulate an analog filter, it had in total eight different waveforms: as well as the standard sawtooth, square, and pulse waveforms, it had a special double sine waveform, a half-sine waveform, and three waveforms with simulated filter resonance: resonant sawtooth, triangle, and trapezoidal waveforms.
The VL-Tone hybrid calculator/synthesizer, has a warm place in the hearts of many with its simple electronic sounds, factory rhythms and built-in speaker. Despite having few synthesis options the VL-Tone has a single note sequencer (fun!), an LFO and ADSR generator. Astrallis has a complete set of timing Keys (including Ptolemy, Placidus, Morinus, Naibod, Kolev, Kepler, and others). Calculations can be switched on the fly between Ptolemy, Pole Placidian, and Regiomontanus algorithms. Additional techniques, as they were formulated during the classical period until the seventeenth century, namely Secondary Directions, Progressions, Solar Returns, Transits, and Ingresses are also calculated and used to find the precise time at which a direction will be effective.
